The Ministry of Transport prepares a draft amendment to the law that would allow taxi providers in commercial transport to use mobile applications instead of the taxameter. The resort has been working on the preparation of the basic principles of the new legislation since the beginning of the year with the representatives of other resorts and operators of conventional as well as alternative taxi services. The Ministry of Transport is also going to today's meeting in the government office with this proposal. The meeting is devoted to more general issues of shared economy.
Drivers can already ride on a new section of the D4 motorway between Skalka and the II/118 crossing The five-kilometre long section, which was today officially opened by the Transport Minister Dan Ťok, will significantly relieve the living environment for the inhabitants of the Dubenec municipality.
The roof above the platforms of the Prague main railway station, that is subject to preservation, looks like new again. For the first time after a hundred years, it underwent a major reconstruction that brought new glazing, the restoration of damaged joints and an anti-corrosion coating. The repair of other parts of the central railway station will continue in the years to come.
In the coming days the covering and removal of illegal advertising facilities by motorways will start. The Ministry of Transport gave the ŘSD the instruction to first cover the first group of billboards as soon as possible and only then remove them at the expense of the advertisement owner. ŘSD will do so in accordance with the law within 15 days at the latest.
Drivers can already use the new section of the D3 motorway Borek – Úsilné. On Wednesday morning the transport minister Dan Ťok officially opened the section at an opening ceremony. The completed section will contribute to the reduction of the traffic intensity on the I/3 road in the municipality of Borek and in the connecting part of České Budějovice. The new road is faster and safer.
Water transport will have a uniform concept for the first time ever in the Czech Republic. The Ministry of Transport presented the Concept of Water Transport document for the period 2016-2023 on Monday at the government meeting. The material details the national strategic document Transport Policy of the Czech Republic for 2014-2020 with prospects until 2050. It defines the prerequisites for further development of water transport and at the same time declares what the state must do in the field of transportation regarding the development of inland routes, safety, sustainable development, the economy and the environment. The government acknowledged the material.
