Long-distance travel will be reduced on some lines as follows:

 From Prague to Hradec Králové
 From Prague to Děčín
 From Prague to Brno
 From Prague to České Budějovice
From Kolín to Ústí nad Labem
 From České Budějovice to Brno
 From Ostrava to Čadca

You can check the restrictions at https://www.cd.cz/info/aktuality/-34450/

České dráhy also kindly asks their passengers to buy they tickets online as much as they can (in the e-shop or the Můj vlak app) or pay with their cards if buying at a physical counter.

Restrictions of regional connections

Given the lower number of passengers due to the current lockdown, some regional trains operated by ČD will be restricted in coordination with regional authorities as well. The restrictions will start at this weekend and/or from next week and apply to the capital Prague, the Central Bohemian region, the Pardubice region, the Hradec Králové region, the Moravian-Silesian region and the Vysočina region. Most restrictions will apply to trains operated in the most off-peak hours, the so-called "school trains" and recreational connections. Connections for commuters will be however maintained. The measures will be in place until further notice and, depending on the state of the epidemic, can see further adjustments. You will find information on regional connections here.

České dráhy takes more measures to fight the covid-19 epidemic

České dráhy performs more cleaning and disinfection of their trains. Special attention is paid to cleaning all parts of the equipment which passengers touch (handles, bars, push buttons, etc.). The cleaning is even done several times per day. When a train is parked, ČD disinfects it with ozone that kills viruses and bacteria. The A/C system is also cleaned in this way. Vehicles waiting for maintenance are also cleaned with disinfection agents.

Based on a special measure of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic announced against the spread of the covid-19 virus, all passengers must protect their breathing system in all trains and other public transportation vehicles starting on September 1st. This means that the use of a respirator, face mask, cloth, scarf or other means preventing the spread of aerosols) is compulsory. We kindly ask all passengers to respect this measure and so protect not only themselves but also other passengers and out staff. Thank you.
