Czech driver education projects are world-class projects, with great success at the Abu Dhabi conf.21/11/2022|Press releasesAt the Mobility Education Summit in Abu Dhabi the Ministry of Transport presented Czech projects involving driver education and testing. It presented a new set of test questions for students of driving schools, an interactive application simulating dangerous situations in traffic called “Hazard Perception” and traffic education projects Učme se přežít (“Learn to Survive”) and Start Driving. "The Hazard Perception application at the conference impressed the participants and shows that Czech traffic education projects are world-class projects. It allows people to try out how they would behave in dangerous situations on Czech roads. In other words, these are the most common threats that drivers may encounter, and the aim is to test these threats and learn how to react to them," says Stanislav Dvořák, Director of the Department of Driver Agencies at the Ministry of Transport. New questions for driving licence applicants were also presented at the conference. These are one hundred new text-based and twenty animated traffic questions for driving school tests, which the Ministry of Transport is gradually deploying in a sharp test. Anyone can then try them out at noveotazky.cz. Complete sets, including the original ones, are available on the public part of the app of the of Ministry of Transport website Tests. The Czech Republic also presented projects in Abu Dhabi Learn to survive a Start Driving. The first one is aimed mainly at motorcyclists and aims at reducing the number and consequences of motorcycle accidents. It mainly uses motorcycle driver training in a safe environment of driving ranges and polygons, and also trains driving school teachers and examiners. The project also includes the creation of effective teaching aids. The Start Driving project focuses on training fresh car drivers in the most risky age group of 18 to 24 years old. It was inspired by the Austrian system of second-phase driver education with possible involvement of parents. This year the project received the patronage of transport minister Martin Kupka and expanded to include educational activities for driving school teachers and examiners. The Mobility Education Summit conference is the only event of its kind dedicated to driver education. Its aim is to find ways to further improve this education. The event was attended by a number of states, organizations, academics and commercial businesses not only from the European Union but also from the Gulf countries. „Právě aplikace Hazard Perception na konferenci účastníky velmi zaujala a ukazuje, že české dopravně-vzdělávací projekty jsou na světové úrovni. Umožňuje lidem si nanečisto zkusit, jak by se zachovali v nebezpečných situacích na českých silnicích. Jinak řečeno, jedná se o nejčastější hrozby, které mohou řidiče potkat, kdy je cílem si tyto hrozby vyzkoušet a naučit se na ně reagovat,“ popisuje ředitel Odboru agend řidičů Ministerstva dopravy Stanislav Dvořák. Na konferenci byly rovněž prezentovány nové otázky pro uchazeče o řidičský průkaz. Jde o sto nových textových a dvacet animovaných dopravních otázek pro zkoušky v autoškolách, které Ministerstvo dopravy postupně nasazuje do ostrých testů. Každý si je pak může vyzkoušet na webu noveotazky.cz. Kompletní sady, včetně původních, jsou dostupné na veřejné části aplikace webu Ministerstva dopravy Testy. Česko rovněž v Abú Dhabí představilo projekty Učme se přežít a Start Driving. Ten první míří hlavně na motocyklisty a jeho cílem je snížit počet a následky dopravních nehod motorkářů. Využívá k tomu převážně trénink řidičů motocyklů v prostředí bezpečných autodromů a polygonů a také vzdělává učitele autoškol a zkušební komisaře. Součástí projektu je i tvorba efektivních výukových pomůcek. Projekt Start Driving se pak zaměřuje na výcvik začínajících řidičů automobilů v nejrizikovějším věku 18 až 24 let. Inspiroval se rakouským systémem druhé fáze vzdělávání řidičů s možným zapojením rodičů. V letošním roce projekt obdržel záštitu ministra dopravy Martina Kupky a rozšířil se o vzdělávací aktivity určené učitelům autoškol a zkušebním komisařům. Konference Mobility Education Summit je jedinou akcí svého druhu, která se věnuje problematice vzdělávání řidičů. Jejím cílem je hledat cesty, jak toto vzdělávání dále vylepšovat. Akce se zúčastnila řada států, organizací, akademiků i komerčních společností a to nejen z Evropské unie, ale i ze zemí Perského zálivu.
