C-ITS is based on a mutual communication between vehicles and surrounding infrastructure. The vehicles must be equipped with a special feature or mobile application. Safe exchange of messages is an essential idea of C-ITS. The aim is to transmit a warning to drivers as fast as possible, in a comprehensive and secure way, so that they could react quickly and do not get into dangerous situations. C-ITS will improve drivers’ foresight and increase smoother traffic.
