14/4/2021Press releases

On 14 April 2021, the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA ČR) and the Ministry of Transport announced the third public call for a programme to support applied research, experimental development and innovations in transport, DOPRAVA 2020+.

Programme DOPRAVA 2020+: Third public call announced
Support of research, development and innovations in transport is one of Ministry’s priorities. The programme aims to promote projects with applicable solutions, especially in terms of increased transport accessibility, its sustainability and safety, while taking into account societal needs. Another goal is to accelerate development of technologies and knowledge in the Czech Republic and by doing so increase its competitiveness. The projects focus not only on transport infrastructure or means, but also on a systemic approach towards transport, development of automation and digitalisation or use of satellite data.

The biggest difference compared to the previous call is a significantly higher allocation of funds up to CZK 850 million (out of which 350 million may be drawn only after an approval of the European Resilience and Recovery Facility). Other conditions remain; the project grant shall be provided at the maximum amount of CZK 50 million and the maximum intensity of state aid shall be 80%. The increased funds will be partly used on the main topic of the third call, which is research and development in transport digitalisation.

The call launched on 15 April 2021 at 9:00 and will be closed on 16 June 2021. More information are available on the website of the Technology Agency. TA ČR and the Ministry plan to organise an online seminar on the third call on 4 May 2021 at 10:00.
