The government acknowledged the results of the feasibility study on the Danube-Oder-Labe corridor and started with preparations for navigation on the water corridor from Ostrava to the Polish Koźle. Based on the time schedule approved, the channel should be completed by 2031. The EIA and negotiations on the border crossings with Poland and Slovakia will now follow. And the regional development plans also need updates.
Called the "line act", this amendment shall accelerate the construction of transport, water and power infrastructure. The bill is now back in the Parliament after the Senate returned it. The "parliament version" of this bill was passed. It shall reduce the preparation time of strategic transportation projects to about two thirds or one half of the current duration which is up to 13 years. The amendment shall simplify the permitting process to ensure that long delays before construction commencement can be avoided. The Ministry of Transport submitted the amendment together with the Ministry for Regional Development and Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic published the new measure which is focused on international bus passengers. They have to fill out an electronic incoming form before they cross the borders.
OneTicket receives more features in the pilot operation. Passengers can now buy an electronic ticket through the e-shop or mobile app. This shall test the functionalities for all railway lines before routine operation starts in December 2020.
Today, the Ministry of Transport received final tenders for the pilot PPP project for the construction, operation and maintenance of the D4 highway between Příbram and Písek. If the Concession Agreement is approved by the Czech government and the Chamber of Deputies by the end of 2020, construction work on the site will begin in March 2021.
DB Netz and Správa železnic announce a new public procurement for project management in the so-called "joint planning area" for project New Railway Connection Dresden – Prague. The project shall take place between 2020 and 2024 in the pre-planning phase.
