Issue of international driving licence

International driving licence is issued according to the Conventions on Road Traffic (Vienna 1968, Geneva 1949) depending on the country, which the applicant decides to visit. The name of the country must be stated in the application.

You can visit any municipal authority with extended powers. List of those (206 in the Czech Republic) is available on the map below.

  • Valid identity card
  • Valid driving licence
  • One passport photograph (to apply for an international driving licence you still need to submit a printed photograph)
  • Filed out application (available here)

  The international driving licence will be issued usually immediately..

  



krizek.png You can collect the driving licence in person or authorise someone else (based on verified letter of attorney) at the same municipal authority where you applied for a new driving licence.
