In case your Czech driving licences or driver’s card is detained abroad, you have to wait until the driving licence or driver’s card is sent from abroad to the Czech Republic. It will be sent to a municipal authority with extended powers, where you can then collect it. You cannot apply for a new driving licence since you can only have one driving licence. What to bring with you? Valid ID card or passport (along with a confirmation of ID card, which is issued in case of lost or stolen ID card). You can collect the driving licence in person or authorise someone else (based on verified letter of attorney).
